MLK Community Builder Interview Part #2 (Masso & Delvalle )

This is the second in a 2-part series to introduce the honorees who received the 2023 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Builder Award. We took some time to talk and think together with Jose Masso and Matty Delvalle about their vision for Hyde Park, the various work they are involved in and their perspective on Hyde Park’s current wealth and future possibilities.

Hyde Park Turkey Giveaway 2024 Reel

Organized by the founder of the Forum for Racial Equity/Together Hyde Park, we blessed over 230 families with turkeys, gift cards, food for sides and expressions of love on Saturday, November 23, 2024. MLK Community Builders conversation in depth Jom, Thien & Barbara 2023

2024 MLK Day Commemoration and Community Awards Hyde Park

This is the 4th Annual MLK Day Celebration and Community Awards program. This year, the program celebrated the legacy of Dr. King with a focus on love and pointed out that love and justice are inextricably linked. City Council leader Ruthzee Louijeune spoke as well as remarks were offered by Mayor Michelle Wu, Representative Rob Consalvo and the new District 5 City Councilor, Enrique Pepen. Youth Poet Laureate Alondra Bobadilla performed her uniquely written narrative piece to celebrate the MLK Community Builders. There were 12 honorees. Denyel Fonseca opened the program by singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and Boston Preparatory Charter School 12th Grader Francesca Duchatelier performed an excerpt from Dr. Kings speech. Dr. Isaac Yablo served as the programs Master of Ceremonies. The Forum for Racial Equity in Hyde Park curated and facilitated the Program.
